Install KinTrail

KinTrail can be installed from the browser as a lightweight app. It still uses your hosted PHP/MySQL site, but it opens from a home-screen icon and feels more like a normal mobile app.

Android Chrome

  1. Open KinTrail in Chrome.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.
  3. Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
  4. Open KinTrail from the new icon.

Location prompts should appear after tapping Update or SOS, not on page load.

iPhone / iPad Safari

  1. Open KinTrail in Safari.
  2. Tap the Share button.
  3. Choose Add to Home Screen.
  4. Open KinTrail from the home-screen icon.

iOS requires Safari for Add to Home Screen. Location must also be allowed in iOS Settings.

Desktop browsers

  1. Use Edge or Chrome for the best install support.
  2. Look for the install icon in the address bar.
  3. On wired PCs, automatic location may be unavailable.

Use Drop Pin on the map when Windows cannot provide location.
