Install KinTrail
KinTrail can be installed as an Android app or added from the browser as a lightweight web app. It still uses your hosted PHP/MySQL site, but it opens from an app/home-screen icon and feels more like a normal mobile app.
Download KinTrail v1.0 APKAndroid APK
- Tap Download KinTrail v1.0 APK above.
- Download the APK.
- Open the downloaded file.
- Allow install from this source if Android asks.
- Open KinTrail from the new app icon.
Location prompts should appear after tapping Update or SOS, not on page load.
Android Chrome Web App
- Open KinTrail in Chrome.
- Tap the three-dot menu.
- Tap Install app or Add to Home screen.
- Open KinTrail from the new icon.
Use this option if you prefer the browser-installed version instead of the APK.
iPhone / iPad Safari
- Open KinTrail in Safari.
- Tap the Share button.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Open KinTrail from the home-screen icon.
iOS requires Safari for Add to Home Screen. Location must also be allowed in iOS Settings.
Desktop browsers
- Use Edge or Chrome for the best install support.
- Look for the install icon in the address bar.
- On wired PCs, automatic location may be unavailable.
Use Drop Pin on the map when Windows cannot provide location.
